Promenade is a Christchurch-based barbershop quartet from Aotearoa New Zealand. Will Harris, Will Lynch, Harry Burt and Kieran King formed the quartet in March 2019 after discovering barbershop in their high school chorus, Malestrom, a few years prior. Promenade won the Young Singers in Harmony competition in 2019 and become the Barbershop Harmony New Zealand Youth Champions in the same year. The quartet has since placed 2nd overall in BHNZ in 2022 and 2024 and has competed at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention twice. In Louisville, Kentucky (2023) Promenade placed 6th in the Next Generation Varsity Quartet Contest and in 2025 in Denver, Colorado, Promenade recieved their highest honour yet, becoming the NextGen Varsity 3rd Place Bronze Medalist Quartet!

The quartet is made up of 3 songwriters and 2 arrangers, meaning the quartet will often perform songs written and/or arranged by members of the quartet. This has given Promenade a unique brand within the barbershop world, and has also saved them hundreds of dollars in copyright and licensing fees!

Will L and Harry both co-direct Christchurch-based youth chorus, Quantum Acoustics, with Will H as one of the Assistant Directors and Kieran as one of the Bass Section Leaders. All four have been heavily involved in the growth and success of their choruses, QA and The Plainsmen, as well as their chapter Harmony Waitaha.
